Tristan - Professional Practice Management Tristan is our market leading veterinary practice management product and has been designed to allow you to quickly and easily manage the entire operation of your veterinary practice. Using Tristan, you can control all aspects of your practice including client and animal records, appointment bookings, full clinical recording, billing and invoicing. We've been developing Tristan in partnership with vets and practices for the last 4 years and we're now bringing our system to the veterinary market at large. We've developed the package in close collaboration with veterinary surgeons and nurses to make day to day tasks easier to accomplish. Rebooking animals for follow-up appointments, and treating an unexpected animal a client has taken with them to a consultation can be quickly and easily done with only one or two clicks.

High resolution stock control
Stock control is a key part of Tristan. From the first development version we've had batch number and expiry date tracking as an integral part of the application. It's not an add on, it's built in. With one click reports to show which animals have received specific drugs and items we provide full traceability ready for any future changes in legislation. We also track stock right down to the vehicle level. You can see which stock is registered as being in your surgeons cars and assign a pool of vehicles to surgeons to track mileage.
The personal touch
One area we've tried to really enhance is communication with your clients. The Tristan package features bereavement management, new client management and client contact tracking to keep you in-touch and up to speed with your clients. These invaluable features allow you to easily maintain a high level of familiarity with your clients and a personal level of service. Coupled with our AFD Postcode mapping solution, and Google Maps you can locate a client's farm or house with one click - never get lost on a house or farm call again!
A solid foundation
Tristan is built on the latest technologies from Microsoft including SQL Server and the .Net Framework. Rather than use low performance solutions, the SQL Server database provides security and robust performance. Microsoft's .Net Framework and Visual Studio allows us to add functionality to Tristan at an unprecedented speed. Further more, we use the .Net technology to operate Tristan over low bandwidth links which would have previously been unsuitable.
This also allows us to have a Web-browser based version of Tristan which looks almost exactly like the full Windows based package. Access the system from home or out in the field with the same look and feel and functionality of the full system.
Our Web browser based version is scheduled for release in Q2 2008with a handheld version based on PocketPC and Smartphone devices also planned for that time. Clients who wish to be involved in the development cycle and evaluation of these new services are welcome and should express this interest through their account manager.
